My Experience

Hi – I’m Leah! I was born and raised in Tewksbury, MA. In 2013, I moved to Salem, MA, to attend Salem State University studying entrepreneurship. In 2016, I landed my first marketing gig as an intern for the Boston Restaurant, Fire & Ice. And in 2017, my internship bosses launched their own start-up, Center Cut Marketing, and invited me to join them as their first employee!

Upon graduating, I moved to the midwest to work for Living Lands & Waters (the world’s only barge-based industrial river cleanup operation). I spent 4 years living on a barge, traveling throughout the country, cleaning America’s rivers, and working my way to become their Director of Marketing. Then in April 2021, I took on the exciting role of joining the Mississippi River Distilling Company team, assisting in the development of their private event venue, before shifting into the role of Marketing & Events Manager.

Throughout these jobs & journeys, I’ve always loved finding opportunities to create little pieces of art for friends I meet along the way! And in 2020, Flair’s Creative Design was born!

Why ``Flair``?

In college, I spent two spring breaks volunteering with Living Lands & Waters at their Alternative Spring Break program in Memphis, TN. In my first year, I started collecting every little flashy hair clip I found on cleanups, and attached them to my life vest. They dubbed me with the nickname Flair as a nod to “Office Space”.

In everything I do, I always try to add a little flair – especially when it comes to creative design!
